  • Cape Sundew 'Red' (Drosera Capensis) is a carnivorous plant that uses the sticky droplets on its leaves to catch insects.
  • WATER: Use rainwater. If rainwater is not available you can use distilled water. Do not let the medium dry out.
  • LIGHT: Full sun.
  • HUMIDITY: Moderate to high (above 50% relative humidity).
  • SOIL: The medium should be free of nutrients and allows good drainage. Use a mixture of 1 part sphagnum peat moss and 1 part perlite.
  • LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE. Just send a picture within 24 hours after receiving.
  • SHIPPING: The plant will be potted in a 2" pot to reduce the stress during shipping. Acclimate the plant slowly.
  • COLD/HOT WEATHER WARNING: Check the weather in your area before placing an order. Too hot or too cold could kill the plant, please wait for better weather conditions, if there’s a storm approaching or sudden weather change. We discourage ordering a plant when there’s a heatwave or temperature is too cold (below 35*F). Our greenhouse is located in Florida, we do not offer heat pack because our area does not get cold enough for a heat pack.
